These heavy duty and steel reinforced containers are air and water tight. If your particular situation warrants a more customized design or any additional equipment, we can assist you with this. The best location to install your underground shelter is in a sloped or gradual incline of a hill so one can be high, dry and achieve natural air flow. Avoid putting your shelter below the water line or in an area that may flood. If you live near the coast line of any body of water you will need to move your shelter inland to a safer area. Shelters can arrive fully stocked with food, water, supplies and most anything else one would want inside.
Steel shelters make a natural ‘Faraday’ cage and will protect all electrical equipment inside the shelter IF there are no antennas or other electrical wires entering the structure. Every incoming wire potentially offers entrance of the electro magnetic pulse (EMP).
The Basic Underground Shelter is an internal and external reinforced rectangular shaped, 8 ft diameter by 40 ft long. It can include: Lockable Air valves, a vertical entrance with ladder, emergency exit, emergency hatch opening with a 20 ton jack system, storage shelves, painted inside and out, metal protective anodes ( to prevent rust ) and a wood floor down the middle approx. 6 inches high. Included, is one low volume Flush Toilet, Shower, Double Stainless Steel Kitchen Sink, Food preparation area, 4 bunks plus hangers to hook up additional hammocks, etc., and lots of storage. Lifting hooks are provided for easy installation.
These Container Underground Shelters are designed for a long term family survival and will handle up to a family of 4 to 5 people. Several units can be clustered together for additional comfort and storage. Optional Utility Modules are available, that can include, but not limited to, a generator, fuel storage, water storage, washer and dryer, additional storage, water heaters, batteries, inventors, etc. Concrete reinforcing is a suggested option to make your unit a more hardened structure.
